Department Overview
Established in 1994, theCardiologyDepartment has evolved into a modern cardiovascular diagnosis and treatment center integrating clinical care, teaching, scientific research, and preventive health education. It comprises four key units: inpatient wards, specialized outpatient clinics, a Coronary Care Unit (CCU), and an interventional catheterization laboratory. Annually, the department admits over 2,200 patients with cardiovascular diseases, achieving a cure/improvement rate exceeding 95%. The CCU handles 250–300 critically ill patients each year, while the outpatient clinics, staffed by senior attending physicians, conduct an average of 120 daily consultations.
Key Programs and Services
Interventional Cardiology
●Routinely performs coronary angiography, percutaneous coronary intervention (PCI), electrophysiological studies, radiofrequency ablation, and permanent pacemaker implantation.
●Pioneered left atrial appendage closure for atrial fibrillation in Shenzhen (2014) and conducted the city’s first subcutaneous implantable cardioverter-defibrillator (S-ICD) procedure (2020).
●Operates a 24/7 emergency green channel for acute myocardial infarction, ensuring timely intervention for critical cases.
