Department Overview

ThePharmaceuticalDepartment is a comprehensive department that integrates drug supply and dispensing, clinical pharmacy practice and education, pharmaceutical research and teaching. It is currently the only supporting department for the "Three Engineering" pharmaceutical team in Shenzhen and a key discipline in Luohu District.

ThePharmaceuticaldepartment has formed a comprehensive rational drug use management model, including pharmaceutical management, prescription/order review, outpatient drug consultation, pharmacist consultation, multidisciplinary specialty clinics, clinical pharmacy, personalized drug genetic testing, blood drug concentration monitoring, health technology evaluation, and post market re evaluation of drugs.

Carry out projects

ThePharmaceuticaldepartment utilizes information technology to promote the connection of drug catalogs within the hospital group, ensuring the continuity of medication varieties for patients referred in both directions and improving patient medication compliance; Through prescription review, intelligent allocation, mobile ward rounds, community clinical pharmacists, etc., the full process management of medication from hospital wards and clinics to community and home use has been achieved, thus constructing a new medical consortium pharmaceutical service model and achieving consistency in pharmaceutical management from top to bottom; Establish an information-based pharmaceutical service platform for hospital groups, providing unified guidance on rational drug use and reviewing drug prescriptions to achieve consistent levels of pharmaceutical service; Integrate pharmacist resources, promote the development of pharmacy discipline, leverage the role of specialized clinical pharmacists, achieve specialized and vertical management of clinical pharmacy, and enhance the overall clinical pharmacy level of the group. By formulating unified improvement measures for pharmaceutical management, we can effectively promote the synchronization and homogenization of the overall pharmaceutical management of the hospital group, provide high-quality pharmaceutical services, implement graded diagnosis and treatment, and continuously improve the ability and management level of pharmaceutical services.

Scientific research and teaching

ThePharmaceuticalDepartment focuses on the development of disciplines and was accredited as a national drug clinical trial institution in October 2019. It can undertake Phase II/III clinical trials for new drugs, post market re evaluation of drugs, and clinical trials for devices and in vitro diagnostic reagents. As the second national clinical pharmacist training base of Shenzhen General Hospital, it has successively carried out teaching in neurology, COPD, and endocrinology majors. Carry out personalized drug genetic testing, blood drug concentration monitoring, drug quality consistency evaluation, and health technology evaluation. In recent years, I have led 12 national and provincial projects, edited 7 academic monographs, published over 100 papers, including more than 10 SCI papers, and applied for 7 invention patents.
