Department Introduction

The Hematology Department is the only center for blood disease prevention and treatment in Luohu, Shenzhen. The department features an independent outpatient clinic and inpatient ward.

Scope of Services

The scope of services includes plasma cell disorders represented by multiple myeloma, lymphomas, acute and chronic leukemias, myelodysplastic syndromes, aplastic anemia, myeloproliferative neoplasms, various types of anemia, and coagulation disorders. The department has established a comprehensive diagnostic approach for malignant blood diseases through cytology and immunology tests. In collaboration with the Precision Medicine Research Institute, it utilizes advanced technologies such as cytogenetics, molecular biology, and targeted sequencing platforms for precise diagnosis and thorough patient condition assessment.

In addition to successfully implementing treatments like immunotherapy, molecular targeted therapy, high-dose chemotherapy for relapsed/refractory leukemia, intensified immune therapy for aplastic anemia, and standardized management of coagulation disorders, the department also conducts therapeutic plasma exchange, blood cell separation, and stem cell collection procedures.

Looking ahead, the department plans to introduce CAR-T (chimeric antigen receptor T-cell therapy engineered via gene editing) and hematopoietic stem cell transplantation techniques for treating malignant blood diseases.
