The Nutrition Department was established in November 2016 and is a medical technology department of Luohu District People's Hospital that carries out clinical nutrition treatment. The department mainly engages in medical, teaching, and scientific research work related to clinical nutrition.

Carry out projects
The department is specifically responsible for the nutritional assessment, nutritional treatment, nutritional consultation, and nutritional education of all hospitalized patients in the hospital, playing a positive role in preventing diseases, promoting health, improving efficacy, shortening treatment courses, and improving prognosis. An independent nutrition clinic is set up in the outpatient department to provide nutrition consultation and guidance for patients with diabetes, gout, obesity, fatty liver, hypertension, hyperlipidemia, coronary heart disease and other patients, as well as pregnant women and children, and develop specific nutrition support programs to meet the needs of nutritional treatment for patients with different diseases. There is an independent enteral nutrition preparation room to provide nutritional support for special patients who cannot eat orally or whose nutritional needs cannot be met by oral feeding. The facilities in the enteral nutrition preparation room are complete, providing guarantees for the standardized preparation and quality management of enteral nutrition preparations.
