Department Overview

Proctology was established in 2003 and is one of the first medical key (characteristic) specialties approved by the Health and Human Resources Commission of Luohu District, Shenzhen in 2008. At present, our department has an average annual outpatient volume of over 7000 people;The average annual number of hospitalized surgeries is over 500, and the bed utilization rate is about 80% to 90%.

Introduction to key surgeries

The use of the improved Pemberton method to treat horseshoe shaped anal fistula or perianal abscess significantly reduces the damage to anal tissue caused by traditional surgical procedures, protects anal function, and significantly shortens postoperative recovery time. Using a droplet shaped incision to remove the cyst of Tibetan hair, with secondary healing and almost no scars left after surgery. At the same time, our department carries out various minimally invasive treatment techniques for hemorrhoids, including traditional Chinese medicine sitz baths and packet therapy after surgery, truly achieving the integration of traditional Chinese and Western medicine. Our department has developed our own Zengye Yunchang Decoction to assist intestinal motility drugs in treating refractory constipation, with significant clinical effects.
