The hospital is taking advantage of the trend of medical reform to build a platform for pediatric surgery, and has introduced Professor Yu Gang, a well-known domestic expert in pediatric surgery, as the leader. Professor Yu Gang is the former director of pediatric surgery, fetal medicine, and pediatric thoracic surgery at Guangdong Maternal and Child Health Hospital. He was also the former director of pediatric surgery at the Third Affiliated Hospital of Guangzhou Medical University, the chairman of the Fetal Medicine Professional Committee of the Guangdong Clinical Medicine Society, and a member of the National Fetal Professional Committee. I have been engaged in pediatric surgery for more than 40 years, and have rich clinical experience in the diagnosis and treatment of various diseases in the field of pediatric surgery, such as pediatric general surgery, neonatal external surgery, exocrine surgery, and pediatric general chest surgery. My characteristics are:

1.Integrated diagnosis and treatment management of surgical diseases in fetuses and newborns;

2.Application of minimally invasive and rapid rehabilitation technology for thoracoscopy in children and infants;

3.Minimally invasive hernia surgery with single port laparoscopy in children;

4. Minimally invasive technology for pediatric foreskin. In the past decade, he has mainly engaged in neonatal surgery and related fetal medicine research, and is one of the leading figures in fetal and neonatal surgery in China, enjoying a high reputation in the country. Proficient in the diagnosis and treatment of various fetal diseases, including fetal cystadenoma and isolated lung, fetal hydronephrosis, fetal and neonatal esophageal atresia, fetal and neonatal hernia, fetal intestinal atresia, fetal abdominal fissure and umbilical hernia, etc. At the same time, taking the lead in combining fetal medical services with pediatric surgery in China, we have launched and carried out minimally invasive techniques such as thoracoscopy and laparoscopy for children and infants. At present, the annual number of pediatric surgeries has exceeded 300, with patients coming from all over the country. The completed and conducted scientific research includes one sub project of the National 863 Program, four projects of the Provincial Department of Science and Technology, and one project of the Provincial Administration of Traditional Chinese Medicine. Received one third prize (1st place) in the Chinese Women and Children's Science and Technology Achievement Award, one sixth prize in the Chinese Preventive Medicine Award, one third prize (2nd place) in the Provincial Science and Technology Progress Award, and five national patents (4 of which ranked first and 1 combined ranked first). Published over 100 national and core journal articles, over 20 SCI papers, edited and published 6 monographs, and participated in the editing of 8 monographs.

Pediatric surgery will follow the principle of compassion and care for life, and fulfill the mission of providing patients with high-quality, reasonable, unique, and efficient medical services. We strive to provide patients with the most economical and appropriate treatment in the shortest possible time. At the same time, it has undertaken the National Birth Defects Relief Fund project: currently, 22 people have been rescued, 17 people have been successfully allocated a total of 229000 yuan, and 5 people are still waiting for funding.

The scope of diagnosis and treatment in pediatric surgery:

Conventional minimally invasive techniques for pediatric general surgery include: inguinal hernia, hydrocele, cryptorchidism, appendicitis, intussusception, intestinal obstruction, common bile duct cyst, megacolon, intestinal cyst, ovarian cyst, etc. Conventional minimally invasive techniques in pediatric thoracic surgery include: pulmonary cystadenoma, emphysema, isolated lung, diaphragmatic hernia, thoracic tumors, esophageal atresia, etc. The content of pediatric urology includes: phimosis, foreskin elongation, hidden penis, hypospadias, hydronephrosis, urinary system abnormalities, etc. Pediatric orthopedic surgery includes: clubfoot, polydactyly, syndactyly, ligature, cleft lip and palate, etc. Conducted diagnosis and consultation for fetal diseases.
