Department Overview

Ultrasound Diagnosis Department is a key specialty in Luohu District, Shenzhen. With the support of the hospital, our department has introduced and hired a national chairman who enjoys State Council subsidies. Professor Li Quanshui, our doctoral supervisor, was officially listed as the "Training Base of the Chinese Society of Ultrasound Medical Engineering" and the "Superficial Organ and Peripheral Vascular Professional Committee of the Chinese Society of Ultrasound Medical Engineering" in 2016; In 2017, under the influence of the hospital group reform, Dr. Xiong Yi, a well-known ultrasound expert, was introduced. From 2017 to the end of 2021, Professor Liu Zijian, a specialist academician of the Hong Kong Academy of Medicine, was introduced to promote the development of the hospital's prenatal diagnosis and maternal fetal medicine center, and establish a Chinese fetal training base. From September 2020 to September 2022, under the guidance of Director Wang Huifang, the department has advanced diagnostic and treatment skills in fallopian tube ultrasound imaging. Ultrasound doctors have developed a rigorous teaching plan through integrated management of training, teaching, and quality control. And establish a "National Pelvic Floor and Reproductive Ultrasound Clinical Training Base" at the People's Hospital of Luohu District, Shenzhen. This base will not only train pelvic floor and ultrasound professionals in Shenzhen, but also provide professional training for ultrasound doctors nationwide.

The Ultrasound Diagnosis Department has established a comprehensive medical quality management system, with a quality control area and an employee cultural life area. The department is divided into six professional groups: abdomen, heart, blood vessels, superficial organs, obstetrics and gynecology, and intervention. The team leader is responsible for tracking and discussing complex and difficult cases on a regular basis, conducting quality control group activities every month, and conscientiously implementing 17 medical quality and safety management objectives.

The Ultrasound Diagnosis Department of Luohu Hospital has high-quality services and excellent technology. In order to meet the needs of grassroots residents in community health, and in accordance with the work requirements of Luohu Hospital Group, the department dispatches experienced physicians to conduct ultrasound examinations in community health every day for the convenience of patients. Using Internet communication technology, ultrasound doctors can control high-precision robots remotely to simulate human hands to control probes. The real-time audio and video system enables barrier free communication between doctors and patients. Real time ultrasound image transmission is clear and real, and various ultrasound image parameters can be adjusted in real time. We have GE E6 for prenatal fetal malformation screening E8、E10，Phillips iE-33 cardiac and vascular ultrasound examination instrument, iE-Elite，High end equipment such as breast examination elastography.

Abdominal ultrasound, vascular ultrasound (cardiac, bilateral upper and lower limb arteriovenous, neonatal cranial, esophageal ultrasound, contrast-enhanced left atrial appendage occlusion surgery, etc.), gynecology (uterine adnexa, pelvic floor, intracavitary 3D, etc.), obstetrics (early and mid pregnancy screening, prenatal diagnosis, genetic counseling), superficial ultrasound (thyroid, breast, elastography, etc.), fundus, musculoskeletal ultrasound, fallopian tube angiography, reproductive tract malformation, puncture intervention, remote ultrasound have leading levels.
