Discipline Overview
The Obstetrics and Gynecology Department of Luohu Hospital was founded in 1957 and is a traditional advantageous discipline of Luohu Hospital. After years of continuous development, it has grown into a comprehensive clinical department that integrates medical treatment, teaching, and scientific research, and carries out a complete range of diagnosis and treatment projects. In 2002, it was awarded the title of "Shenzhen Key Medical Specialty". In 2015, it established the "Lang Jinghe Academician Workstation". In 2016, it introduced the A-level team of "Three Projects" in Shenzhen's medical and health system - the Lang Jinghe Academician Team of Obstetrics and Gynecology at Peking Union Medical College Hospital. In 2019, it established the "Single Port Laparoscopic Surgery Technical Cooperation Group" of the Obstetrics and Gynecology Branch of the Chinese Medical Association, the "Single Port Laparoscopic Training Base", and the "National Medical Products Administration Drug Clinical Trial Institution".
Over the years, the discipline has accumulated rich experience in minimally invasive gynecological surgeries such as laparoscopy, hysteroscopy, and colposcopy, which have become specialized features. Among them, female reproductive tract malformations and pelvic floor dysfunction diseases have reached advanced levels both domestically and internationally. The Luohu procedure won the 2006 Shenzhen Science and Technology Progress Award and the 2010 "Endesi" Science and Technology Progress Award. The team won the 2017 American Association of Laparoscopic Surgeons' Contribution Award for Medical Education and Training, the 2017 World Forum on Obstetrics and Gynecology and Infertility Controversy Award, and Professor Luo Guangnan was awarded the Honorary President of the American Association of Laparoscopic Surgeons in 2019.

GynecologyⅢDepartment is a well-known diagnosis and treatment center for female reproductive tract abnormalities both domestically and internationally. It has completed over 1800 surgeries for various female lower reproductive tract abnormalities and regularly receives referrals from large tertiary hospitals in China for difficult and complex cases of female reproductive tract abnormalities.
More than 95% of the surgeries performed by the Department of GynecologyⅢare minimally invasive surgeries, with comprehensive techniques, including da Vinci robotic minimally invasive surgery, laparoscopic minimally invasive surgery, vaginal minimally invasive surgery, pelvic floor minimally invasive surgery, hysteroscopic surgery, and other types of minimally invasive gynecological surgeries. The discipline embodies the principles of personalization, humanization, and minimally invasive treatment for gynecological diseases, while the integrated medical model will provide high-quality medical services for patients and friends.
