Pediatrics consists of a general pediatrics ward, a neonatal ward, a pediatrics outpatient department, and an emergency pediatrics department. Undertake tasks such as diagnosis and treatment of common and difficult diseases among the population in the jurisdiction, emergency treatment of critical illnesses, and teaching and training of multi-level personnel, as well as scientific research. The annual outpatient and emergency department volume is nearly 100000, with over 3000 discharged patients per year, implementing a 24-hour outpatient and emergency system.

Introduction to Sub specialty

Introduction to neonatal specialty: There are 20 beds set up for newborns. The department is well-equipped and technically skilled, divided into four areas: premature infants group, neonatal intensive care unit (NICU), recovery group, and infection group. It has instruments and equipment such as high-frequency ventilators, far-infrared rescue tables, premature infant incubators, blue light therapy boxes, multifunctional monitors, jaundice monitors, blood glucose monitors, and blood gas analyzers.

The main types of diseases treated in the ward include premature infants, neonatal pneumonia, neonatal jaundice, neonatal sepsis, neonatal hemolytic disease, neonatal asphyxia, neonatal hypoxic-ischemic encephalopathy, neonatal intracranial hemorrhage, meconium aspiration syndrome, neonatal hyaline membrane disease, neonatal convulsions, neonatal shock, neonatal pulmonary hypertension, congenital heart disease, and neonatal multiple organ failure.

It has a high success rate in the rescue and treatment of children with recurrent respiratory tract infections, bronchiolitis, severe pneumonia, ARDS (Acute Respiratory Distress Syndrome), etc. It routinely implements the graded diagnosis and treatment plan for childhood asthma (GINA plan), regularly conducts health education, guidance, and home management for asthma. It also has rich experience in the diagnosis and treatment of chronic pediatric lung diseases.

Neurology specialty: It can diagnose and treat various pediatric nervous system infectious diseases, intractable epilepsy, children's hyperactivity disorder, mental and psychological disorders, intracranial tumors, vascular malformations and other difficult, critical nervous system diseases, with a high success rate of diagnosis and treatment. We can still carry out assessments of children's intellectual development, rehabilitation training for cerebral palsy, and dynamic EEG monitoring.

Endocrine and metabolic disease specialty: It can carry out diagnosis and treatment of endocrine and metabolic diseases such as precocious puberty, short stature, obesity, diabetes, thyroid disease, etc.

Cardiovascular disease: There is a wealth of successful experience in the diagnosis and treatment of viral myocarditis, acute and chronic heart failure, arrhythmia, and other conditions.

Kidney disease: With rich experience in the diagnosis and treatment of kidney disease, acute and chronic nephritis, hematuria, recurrent urinary tract infections, and other diseases.
